Since it’s inception in 2010, Hippocampus Magazine (ISSN 2160-2298) had it sights set on bringing its online magazine to life, first through HippoCamp: A Conference for Creative Nonfiction and, later, through the publication of print editions.
Hippocampus Magazine officially launched its Books Division in the summer of 2016. (See our official announcement and Selected Memories cover unveiling here.) Hippocampus Books, like our magazine, is focused on creative nonfiction. We’re enthusiastically looking for compelling work in the following categories:
- Essay collections
- Literary journalism
- Travel writing
- Craft books
- Creativity books
In addition to single-author books, we also publish the occasional anthology. (Interested in working with Hippocampus Books? View our submissions guidelines and current calls, here.)
Our Books Division Staff
- Donna Talarico, Founder & Publisher
- Kevin Beerman, Operations Assistant
- An array of freelance contractors
Our bios our listed at Hippocampus Magazine’s masthead.
